Long before the new millennium construction and real estate boom, RR Tandem was already carving out a niche for itself in the industry in 1989 as the single-proprietor controlled RICOND Construction, a Category D Construction Company engaged in general building, big and small.
As the company’s project portfolio grew with the influx of choice projects from all over the country, RICOND Construction gradually evolved to RR Tandem Construction Corporation, incorporated by the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1982 and elevated to Category B—a principal classification which encompasses General Engineering---by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board at about the same time of its incorporation.
These milestones would eventually chart the company’s map as a major player in the local construction arena, and would result to a two-fold increase in manpower, equipment, technological competence, and overall building capabilities demanded by a growing cache of projects and a long roster of blue-chip clientele seeking the expertise and services of the company, which has its offices at St. Bernadette Heights, Sindalan, City of San Fernando (Pampanga), Philippines.
Over the past 18 years, the company has continuously expanded its project brief, a composite of top-notch projects of varying types, works and sizes. These include the HICAP Pure Water Treatment Plant and Energy Building in Sta. Rosa, Laguna; the three-storey Bencom Pacific Building in Quezon City; the site development and civil construction of the Philippine Shin-Ei and Aderans Factories at the Clark Ecozone in Pampanga; the Filinvest Ready-Built Factory in Calamba, Laguna; the Ford Pampanga Showroom, and several interior finishing works for Max’s Restaurant, Cabalen Restaurant, Mossimo, Folded & Hung, David’s Salon, Mosaic Boutiques found in major malls throughout the country.
One of the biggest and most significant project are works for Yokohama Tire Plant, Incorporated. The first phase of the project was sub-contracted to the company by Riofil Corporation, a Filipino-Japanese construction venture based in the Philippines. Very satisfied and impressed by the results RR Tandem delivered, JFE Engineering---Riofil’s mother company based in Japan---awarded the Php90 Million Phase III Expansion contracts to the company, making them a major contractor of the overseas company.
Additional testimonies to the company’s construction competence are accomplished projects for the City of San Fernando, the Laus Group of Companies, San Miguel Corporation, Pepsi Cola (Philippines), Coca-Cola Bottlers (Philippines), Kimberly Clark Philippines, Inc. and a host of other publicly and privately funded endeavours.
Recently, the company completed civil works for the Department of Public Works and Highways for its ICT Building in Sindalan, City of San Fernando (Pampanga), Philippines; construction of the Central Luzon TV 36 Station in Pampanga, Philippines; the Teriyaki Boy Restaurant at SM City Pampanga and SM City Clark, Philippines; and the ACSAT Call Center in Mandaluyong City, Philippines.
On-going are more civil work projects for the 1st and 2nd Districts of the Department of Public Works and Highways which include the rehabilitation of the Romana Pangan Hospital in Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines and the construction of a major drainage system along the National Road in Sindalan, Pampanga, Philippines. Out of the company’s pipeline are the construction of a boiler room and water for Yokohama Tire Plant, and another project with ACSAT in Madaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines.
